Outbreaks create fear and fear is a key ingredient for racism. We are impacted by what we hear or see in the news/internet. In the last few weeks, we have seen an increase in racism directed toward Asian Americans tied to fears of Covid-19. We discuss how employers can proactively respond by educating employees to ward off potential stigmatization and take steps to protect its employees from discrimination or harassment.
